Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been a girl with great big ideas and an even bigger imagination. Whether it was writing little stories, looking forward to English class, spending hours working on research papers (yes, I actually enjoyed those!), writing creative poems as a positive outlet, or expressing myself through music and singing, I've always found so much joy in creating something meaningful.

For as long as I can remember, creativity has been a little piece of who I am. And somewhere along the way, one of my biggest dreams became writing and illustrating a children's book of my very own.

Now, you might be wondering, how does writing children's books fit into nursing? Well, as a senior nursing student preparing to graduate, one of the areas closest to my heart has always been pediatric nursing. I've always loved the idea of working with children, making them feel safe, helping them understand the world around them, and bringing a little comfort into moments that might feel scary.

So, when I thought about combining my love for children, my passion for nursing, and my lifelong love for storytelling, it just made sense. It felt like two little pieces of my world coming together.

And now that I'm older and finally in a position to turn those childhood dreams into something real, I thought to myself, why not?

Why not take a chance on that little girl who always had a story to tell? Why not bring those big ideas to life? Why not create something that could make another little child smile, feel brave, or learn something new?

​

After all, the sky's the limit, right?

​

And that's how this little chapter of my life began. What started as a childhood dream has slowly blossomed into something I get to hold in my hands and share with the world.
